With a huge budget from the director of Pirates Of The Caribbean, anybody would have expected ‘The Lone Ranger’ to be huge success. The plot looked very good on paper. After the budget talks were over, the release date was constantly pushed back several times. The movie didn’t have a huge impact at the Box Office, at least not as much as Walt Disney Studios was hoping it to have. Currently, the company is trying to get a portion of the money back with the film’s home entertainment release.
It would be a little difficult to cast Armie Hammer in a lead role next to Johny Depp. Being the comical and loud person as Depp, it is not easy to stand out and play the hero of the movie. Orlando Bloom could manage it in ‘Pirates’, but the script aided him as well. In this case, Hammer plays the lead character alongside Depp’s Tonto. The two of them team up to take down a few bad guys who are involved in some dirty deals related to silver mine in the West. Plenty of cool camera shots with a generous dose of explosions are present in the movie.
The Blu-Ray release is for the fans, but it is a touch expensive at $39.99. Some of them believe that it is worth the price. Plenty of bonus features would be a part of The Blu-Ray release.
