Daniel Sturridge might end up on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury on Friday. He picked up the injury while training. He injured his ankle ligaments while he was on international duty with England. The prolific Liverpool striker was set to return to return to the club’s line-up for the clash against Hull on Sunday, after having started on the bench against the entertaining 3-3 draw against Everton. However, he came off the bench to score in the game which saw him score 11 goals in 14 games in all competitions.
Despite having trained exceptionally well, Brendan Rodgers believes that it ( Sturridge injury ) needs more time to recover. Liverpool hasn’t received the results of a scan of his injury yet.
“Good players respond to challenges strongly. There are others who don’t fight for their place when they are not in the main squad. They will shivel and die. Certainly, Sturridge is not one of them. He is very determined and strong and aggressive and set to play this weekend.”, Brendan Rodgers added.
Rodgers is sure that Victor Moses is happy at Liverpool. “He definitely wants to play for the team. The boy hasn’t got a chance yet because the team has been doing very well and I don’t want to change the winning combination. No doubt he is huge talent He is a good guy and is always looking to improve. I talk to him regularly as well. I assess them in training and pick the team from my observation there.” he said.
