LeBron James Is Optimistic That Derrick Rose Would Come Back Stronger After The Injury

Some of the NBA fans feared that Derrick Rose’s torn meniscus, which he suffered on the 22nd November would cause the end of his stellar career. As of now, it is a season-ending injury.

However, LeBron James is hopeful of seeing the old Rose play again.

Before Miami Heat’s game against Chicago Bulls, James voiced out the experience of a lot of NBA fans by saying, “I don’t want to believe it. In fact, I was at home watching the game.

It is indeed a very unfortunate accident, and all the fans wanted to see Rose playing as many game as possible. James was optimistic about his recovery and is sure that the Bulls point guard would return to form soon. “He is very young, and determined. I think he will be great when he gets back,” he said.

Rose had addressed the media before the game and he intelligently responded to the reporter who asked him about his expected return and whether he would be available for the playoffs.

“If I am healthy and the situation is fine, I will be playing”, he said.

Rose also thinks that he would be better when he returns. But, the problem with his belief is that Rose’s style of play puts him in a spot of bother. Rose generally charges into the lane seeking the hoop and more often than not, absorbs contract. That is his style of play and he won’t change it. His knees don’t find it comfortable with constant banging.

The medical staff is not very confident about his recovery, though. “Yes, he is determined, but he is too fragile and the manner in which he plays makes him injury-prone. It is just bad luck that he injured his knee, so close to the playoffs”, they said.

“It may not heal. Meniscal tears don’t have a success rate close to 100%. However, if one follows the protocol and limits movement, and use crutches, there is a decent chance that it would heal.” This means that his chances of returning to MVP form is less.
