Ty Lawson, the guard of Denver Nuggets was arrested on suspicion of charges involving harassment. Both Lawson and his girlfriend had fought last Saturday night and both faced charges on harassment, according to the Arapahoe County sheriff’s officials. Lawson was charged with this crime on Monday. The Sheriffs refuse to divulge any more details of the arrest. The Nuggets general manager, Tim Connely also felt that he had to respect the legal procedure and not jump to conclusions. However, he issued a written statement that the entire team was “conscious of the matter”. A four-year contract was signed by Lawson last October, with the team, Nuggets. His contribution to the team is well reflected in the average statistics per game : 1.47 steals, 6.9 assists, 2.7 rebounds and most importantly 16.7 points.
