Kickstarter Campaign For Wilmington On Fire Ending In A Few Days

As 2013 comes to an end, there is a particular film project that has been receiving a lot of attention over the past few years. Wilmington on Fire by Christopher Everett needs only a final push on Kickstarter for it to release. The documentary still needs to be edited and a few post production elements need to be completed. The Kickstarter campaign would be ending in a few days.

The Wilmington Massacre of 1898 is dealt seriously in the movie and the portrayal of the incident is believed to as close to reality as possible. The Massacre was a huge incident in World History. It was a bloody attack on the African-Americans by a white mob who were adequately armed. The mob was in support of the North Carolina Democratic Party. It is one of the examples of a violent outbreak which resulted in a change of Government. The incident left a number of African-American people dead and driven away from the city.

The producers and the distributors of the film have promised that the money raised in the Kickstarter campaign would be used to create the special effects and other editing processes like color grading, sound design etc. They need $10,000 more in the next few days.
