Jack Reacher Sequel Going To Be Made.

It would be interesting if Paramount would adopt Jack Reacher by Lee Child. The first film released and the figures haven’t been very encouraging. Paramount is currently partnering with Skydance Productions to start the production of Never Go back, its sequel.

Never Go Back became a hit among the reading community. The book explores Reacher heading back to his military base in Virginia to dine with a woman, who is a commanding officer. By the team he reaches there, she gets arrested and Reacher is charged with beating up someone. He gradually learns and realizes that he he may have fathered a child. He is unable to remember any form of transgression.

Tom Cruise is playing the lead role in the movie and everyone involved in the film are hoping for Christopher McQuarrie to direct the movie. This would mean that the film’s production needs to be put on hold as the acclaimed director is completing his work on Mission: Impossible 5.

McQuarrie won’t be having time to write early drafts and hence Paramount is looking for suitable writers. Squeezing the new Reacher before the MI5 hits the theaters is an option, but it is highly improbable. Reacher film fans would still be happy that the film is finally underway.

McQuarrie won’t, however, have time to write at least the early drafts on this one, so Paramount is now looking for suitable writers. There had been chatter about squeezing the new Reacher in before making MI5 next summer, but that seems incredibly unlikely. Still, Reacher film fans will be happy to learn that plans are firmly under way for more. We asked Reacher himself for comment but, of course, Reacher said nothing.
