iPad Shipments Expected A Downfall Quarter By Quarter By 20% To 25%

The overall shipment of iPad is expected to experience a downfall in by 20% to 25% in every quarter and by 10% to 15% every year. This expected to happen in the 2nd quarter of the year 2013. The sales are expected to hit 14-15 million within a period of every three months. The reason for the dip in the shipments is a result of a cheap selling of Android tablet. It can also be compared with the base of the launch of iPad in the year 2012.

The decline in the number of shipments of mini iPad has decline is seen to differ by about 40% in every quarter. Kuo forecast said that it is expected to sell 12.7% of million units by the end of June within there months. It is expected that iPad mini will experience a shipments of about 6.2 million units and the fourth generation iPad will see 4.5 million units. Besides this iPad 2 which is of entry level is expected to experience a shipment of 2 million units.

It was finally noted by Kuo that the third quarter of the year is expecting a launch of fifth generation iPad. It will boost the shipments in the first quarter of the year. However keeping these figures aside, success is dependent upon the appeal of iPad 5 to the fifth customers. It is likely that the shipments will go high of they find it attractive. The supposed slimmed down iPad 5 will decide its shipments figures upon the desire of the customers.

A recent study was conducted by IDC and it saw the share of iPad in the in the wake of market dip. The overall dip is expected to be of 40% in the first quarter.
