Sunderland who were interested in the Internacional’s forward player Ignacio Scocco before he joined Inter in the summer.
Rumors have hit the web stating Sunderland is again interested in bringing him to their sides. However, Inter chief Giovanni Luigi has stated they have no plans to sell.
He told Radio Gaucha: “Scocco is a great player, a player [manager] Abel Braga knows well. We want to count on him.”
When asked Scocco about his plans, he said his first choice was to return to Newell’s Old Boys where he spent his last season scoring 24 goals, though he did not totally rule out other clubs.
He stated:”In Argentina, the team that always has the priority is Newell’s, but I know that it’s very difficult because of economic reasons and it doesn’t depend on me, it depends a lot on Internacional and any team that can pay what the Brazilians expect”.
“For a reason of being thankful, respect and feelings, Newell’s is always going to be first, but I don’t close the door to anybody.”
