Intel At Consumer Electronics Show

In the recent news by the Intel, they are in the way of developing security extensions for the devices which are based on Intel chips and running on Android platform.

“Mobile devices running with Intel Device Protection Technology will offer users new security capabilities to help proactively block and secure the devices from malware delivered through malicious applications and websites,” Intel spokesperson Suzy Greenberg told PCMag on Wednesday.

This device security offer was announced on Monday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas when CEO Brian Krzanich’s gave his keynote. The company announced that they will be launching products featuring “hardened” Android later this year.

In CES, Intel also gave indication of rebranding its McAfee products as Intel Security, so it might happen that next-gen McAfee Mobile Security solution will have a different name.
