HTC Varies Of Samsung Galaxy S4

So it seems Apple isn’t the only one who’s worried about the release of Samsung Galaxy S4. HTC and other contemporaries also have joined the queue.

HTC, which is Samsung’s biggest Android rival, has hired a street marketing team, which is supposed to dole out free snacks and coupons for HTC to people waiting outside Radio City Music Hall for Galaxy S4’s launch.
But the biggest statement of intent comes from HTC’s president Mike Woodward, who says he’s happy to see no innovation in the design for S4, drawing comparisons with Galaxy S III. He also criticized S4’s new features as unnecessary and gimmicky and said most users won’t even use them.

Woodward compared the S4 with HTC One, HTC’s next flagship phone. One has a new user interface called Sense 5, which draws live content from partners like ESPN and social networks like Facebook and Twitter on it’s home screen. HTC One also boasts of a metal and glass design, while S4 is stuck to a plastic construction.
HTC does make equally good phones, and maybe even better ones. HTC has a far better visually appealing user interface than Samsung’s, and also provides BeatsAudio enhancement in it’s phones to enhance the user’s music listening experience.

But HTC lacks the absolutely massive budget for marketing that Samsung has, which always seems to work in the latter’s case.

If we give Samsung’s marketing budget to HTC, we might see a tilt of power in the smartphone market.
