HTC Revenue Shows 40% Up For March Compared To February

HTC, the Taiwanese player in the market of tablets and smartphones has come up with their monthly revenue results, and they do not look bad at all. In fact, they have reported a 40% growth in sales in the month of March, 2013 than the last month. But the point to be noted is that, in the last month that is in the month of the February, their sales were reported to be all time low in the last 3 years.

According to the reports of the month of March, The Company generated revenue of NT $15.88 billion which is a swelling 40 per cent increase from the last month, but in the month of February their sales were reported just at NT$11.37 billion. HTC was in a much strong financial position around this time last year. Their revenue for the month of March, 2013 indicates a fall of 48.57 per cent compared to the revenue generated in March, 2012. This can be marked as the worst drop in the revenue of the company since 2012, October.

In this context, the HTC Corp. was to launch their flagship Smartphone HTC One handset in the month of February. But due to a shortage in the components of the camera of the handset the company was compelled to delay the shipments to the market for around a whole month. This was marked as the basic reason for the fall in its first quarterly profit for the year 2013 by as much as 37 per cent from a year earlier.

The worst thing is that, the analysts are not even seeing a light of hope for the tech giant as their newest Smartphone is finally going to be extensively available in the market only a month before the launch of Galaxy S4, the latest generation of the android smartphone from the house of Samsung, and is expected to face fierce competition to capture the market.

HTC hope to apply the dual weapon, HTC One and the Facebook Phone, HTC First to win the battle, but the red marked revenue sheet of HTC, certainly draws a wrong picture about the future of the company that aspires to compete with the other tech-giants like Apple and Samsung.
