According to Baz Bamgboye, Helen Mirren is in early talks to star in The Golden Lady. Which is based on a story written by Alexi Kaye Campbell, and directed by Simon Curtis . The actress will play Maria Altmann, a Jewish refugee who, in her 80s, took on a government to recover art treasures she believed rightfully belonged to her family, among them Gustav Klimt’s The Lady In Gold, Portrait Of Adele Bloch-Bauer I.

Meanwhile, According to the Brit reporter, Johnny Flynn, featured recently at Sundance with Anne Hathaway in Song One, has been cast as Queen drummer Roger Taylor in the Freddie Mercury biopic starring Ben Whishaw, and directed by Dexter Fletcher. Also, Brendan Gleeson is said to have accepted Suffragette, a drama about the early feminist movement which includes Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne-Marie Duff, with Sarah Gavron (“Brick Lane”) directing.
