Halo 5 will not release in 2014, if we believe in the comments made by Master Chief voice actor Steve Downes.
Speaking to a famous tabloid, Downes said a 2014 release for Halo 5 is unlikely, as he believes that Halo 2 Anniversary edition will release first. “I think you may be ahead of yourself on Halo 5,” Downes told them.
He further added, “I wouldn’t expect anything until 2015. What you can expect to this year is an anniversary edition of Halo 2.”
There were reports in Jan that Halo 5 is all set for a 2014 release. Last month, Microsoft’s senior PR manager for Halo, Rob Semsey had said “Stay assured that your next Halo journey will begin in 2014.”
Now it seems that Semsey was referencing a yet-to-be-announced Halo 2 anniversary edition in those comments.
