The CVG has reported that there were about 4 million hacking attempts from June 13th to July 7th on the Konami website. It claims that as much as about 35,252 illegal log-ins happened in the past month on their website, which includes the names, phone numbers, email ids and home addresses of the customers. However, neither any information is stolen or modified, nor any unauthorized usage of paid services, has been detected.
Konami has, now, reassured the customers of a better security and apologized to everyone publicly. One of the officials said, “Konami sincerely apologizes for the trouble this has caused to our valued customers… Konami has strengthened its security and raised its monitoring level, and measures have been taken to ensure that IDs and passwords involved in these unauthorized logins can no longer be used to log in.”
