Double Fine declared on Tuesday that Hack ‘n’ Slash will launch somewhere in the first half of 2014 on PC, Mac, and Linux.
The thrilling action-adventure takes inspiration from Zelda and the colourful history of hacking games and exploiting glitches for fun, humorous, and for some alarming results. Players must make use of the main character’s appreciable hacking artistry to “cheat” through her world’s ancient puzzles and battles.
“I’ve perpetually loved games with innumerable secrets in them,” Hack ‘n’ Slash project lead Brandon Dillon aforesaid in a statement at a function.
Double Fine says the game’s combination of code and adventuring are going to be approachable even for those with no background in computing. However, audacious code crackers will notice a wealth of secrets to plumb inside the game.
