Gravity Ruled The Critic’s Choice Awards

Thursday saw Los Angeles waking up with Oscar wave as The Oscar Nominations were announced and that was not all, the city in the evening saw the announcement of the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards 2014. The results are sometimes the products of the results in the Academy Awards, and if this holds good, 12 Years A Slave, American Hustle and Gravity may have a good Oscar night.

The Best picture was bagged by 12 Years A Slave, and the Best Supporting Actress for Lupita Nyong’o and Best Adapted Screenplay for John Ridley.

But Gravity went on with a clean victory, Starting off with Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects, Best Actress In An Action Movie for Sandra Bullock, Best Sci-Fi/Horror Movie, and Best Score. However American Hustle added Best Acting Ensemble, Best Actress In A Comedy (Amy Adams) in its list.

Her was awarded the Best Original Screenplay, while there were expected wins for Cate Blanchett in Best Actress for Blue Jasmine, and Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto as Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor for Dallas Buyers Club.
