Google today launched an interactive map which shows trending videos in cities across the U.S. called the YouTube trends map.
YouTube Trends Map, which has a basic interface as of now, is a great way of seeing how viral videos are shared and received by different viewers, based on the gender and age of the number of shares or number of views.
YouTube trends map shows a number of small thumbnail images, which correspond to a video list, sorted by cities accordingly on the right side of the screen.
Rolling your mouse over the thumbnail reveals a little more information the videos, including the regions where it is top ranked and the original link of the video.
The dashboard on top of the screen allows you to see results from males and females, as well as both the genders simultaneously. It also allows you to switch ages, which range for 13-17 to 65 and above, and show videos based on their views and shares.
