Google Glass Sales Go Public

Google Glass sales have gone public and from next Tuesday, the high-tech device could all be yours.

From Tuesday, April 15 6 a.m. onwards, any US-based adult citizen will have an opportunity to purchase Google Glass for $1,500. But you need to act fast as the availability is limited. “There is limited number of spots available, so tick your calendar if you want to avail it,” the Google Glass team wrote in an official Google+ post.

The Google Glass was initially available only to those who had attended the 2012 Google I/O conference and had shed $1,500 for the device. Then the company came up with a contest on social media, asking potential Glass Explorers what they’d do with Glass, and the creative responses got an opportunity to avail it.

“But everyday we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too,” the team at Google said today. “So in typical fashion, we can just say that we’re trying something new.”

The procedure is quite simple, those interested can sign up for a reminder ahead of Tuesday’s sale, but the international buyers will have to keep waiting as Google team is not yet ready to bring the product globally. “We are not ready yet to bring Glass to other countries,” the team said.
