Google is now aiming at companies and had filed a lawsuit against Rockstar Consortium, claiming that the group’s patent campaign is unfairly targeting Google and its Android partners.
The company is against Rockstar, from the day it had lost the auction to buy the Nortel Network’s 6,000 patent portfolio. Rockstar Consortium had a patent for about $4.5 billion and has since used them to sue Google and many of its hardware partners. The giant companies Microsoft, Blackberry, Ericsson, and Sony are the at the side of Rockstar Consortium which faces off against Google, Samsung, Huawei, HTC, and other mobile phone companies.
The recent reports by Bloomerg says that some of the Nortel patents are already been sold off. Its seems that the confidence of Rockster is weaking as Google is holding tight against its own lawsuit .
