‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Emilia Clarke Lands The Role Of Sarah Connor In the Latest Terminator Movie

Emilia Clarke has tipped the favorites and has landed the coveted role of Sarah Connor in the latest ‘Terminator’ reboot – ‘Terminator: Genesis’. Brie Larson and the gorgeous Margot Robbie (The Wolf Of The Wall Street) were the unfortunate ones to miss out on the role.

The ‘Game of Thrones’ star, Emilia Clarke is officially part of the film directed by Alan Taylor. ‘Terminator: Genesis’ is taking shape rapidly because the scheduled release date is July 1, 205. Jason Clarke ( Zero Dark Thirty star) is still in the talking to play her son, John Connor in the story. Interestingly, the plot involves a trip to the future. The future needs to be there in the plot because it connects the difference between Emilia and Jason’s age. Linda Hamilton in the James Cameron version made the Sarah Connor character iconic and since then, it has been a special role for anybody who plays the part.

John Connor has been a part of the plot a lot of times in the franchise. In fact, Edward Furlong made the character much more memorable than Christian Bale. All the rumors about Arnold Schwarzenegger to be a part of the latest one didn’t work out, but for all you know it may just happen.

The movie is produced by David Ellison’s Skydance, Megan Ellison’s Annapurna and the Paramount. The movie is a rather ambitious one with Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller ( X Men- First class) roped in to write the new ‘Terminator’ TV series. It would be a criss-cross with the latest one.

No one is sure how it would work at present, but we would find out soon. ‘Terminator: Genesis’ would be the fifth film of the franchise and the fans hope that it would be as successful as the previous ones. The film is set to release in 2015.
