Everyone pretty much knows that Rio Ferdinand wants to stay in Manchester United “till his body allows”, since the player is totally in love with the club. Ferdinand’s has been at Old Trafford since 2002 and his testimonial against the Sevilla is going to be on Friday (evening). The 34-year old is looking forward to the occasion and he still insists to win more trophies with and for Manchester United.
He also stated in the Daily Mirror, “For as long as my body allows me to, I’ll keep on playing.” He continued with, “And for as long as I can stay at Manchester United, I will stay there.” When he looks at pictures ahead of his testimonials, it evokes memories and “they relit the fires a little bit in terms of winning things.”
“Whether I can do it, we’ll have to wait and see. But I’ve still got that burning passion to win things.
“I thought I’d be at United for a couple of years, maybe three or four, and then go abroad somewhere,” he said.
“But I just fell in love with United – the winning and the history of the club – and the pull has got stronger as the years have gone by.”
