Dong Nguyen, developer of the mobile game Flappy Bird, has tweeted that he will “take Flappy Bird down” tomorrow at 12Noon EST approximately. Considering how much cash he had been earning on the in-game ads, this comes in as a surprise. Nguyen’s tweets indicated that all the attention he and the game had garnered recently, both positive and negative, had been taking its toll on him. He then also mentioned that the takedown has nothing to do with any legal problems he has been facing from accusations that he had copied art assets from Super Mario Bros.
We hope whatever is going wrong with him gets fine.
