Facebook Should Go For Paid Ad-Free Version- Biz Stone

Twitter founder Biz Stone in a recent post suggested that Facebook should charge their users for an Ad-free premium service to the social networking site.

The logic behind this is users will be willing for clutter free experience upto $10 for a month. All these suggestions are cropping up after Facebook added thousands of settings, features, and choices which are a bit confusing.Even if mere 10% of users sign up for a premium service, revenue could be upto $1 billion a month.

Stone suggested this workaround after it’s success on Pandora which shows around 114% growth rate YoY for ad-free subscriptions. This is not the first time Facebook is planning for charges. Earlier users could message to celebrities or anyone outside of their friend list by paying. Pricing is according to number of followers they have.
