As reported by the New York Times, Facebook is planning to launch its upgraded search engine on Monday. The launch of this was announced back in January 2013, and it was named as Facebook Graph Search. This Facebook Graph search will let the users search for people, places, photos, and interests in their Facebook social graph.
The search engine will even be integrated with Microsoft’s Bing, which will offer the users with web search results, if they can’t find anything useful in their graphs.
With the search engine, the users will be able to sort their friends on the basis of their locations. Still it is far from being perfect. Firstly, it’s not available in Facebook mobile apps. Secondly, it can’t leverage data from third-party apps, and lastly, it can’t find any information in status updates.
The Facebook search engine, Graph Search is speculated to be of the long run, as of now.
