Facebook has released an update for it’s Android App on the Google Play Store.
The app allows users to change their profile picture directly from the phone, hide stories and report spam in News Feed and requires just a few taps to start a group message.
The Facebook Android app update was released through a new process known as silent updates, which downloads the update in the background over Wi-Fi or a data pack and then notifies the user to install it.
Silent updates, which is in it’s beta phase, is meant for some beta testers, who download and review the app before it goes live to everyone.
According to Facebook, the updates will help make sure that everyone is using the latest versin of the app.
