A year ago it was just a cancelled TV series, then suddenly out of nowhere it was a successful kickstarter, and now Warner Bros have finally finished their Veronica Mars and released the first trailer of the project.
The film shows Veronica heading back to Neptune, California, after ten years away. In the meantime she has become a corporate lawyer and moved on with lurrve interest Piz (Chris Lowell). It also shows the plight of former flame Logan (Jason Dohring), who’s accused of killing his pop star girlfriend. It also deals with the love triangle between these three stars coming alive again and Veronica finds herself investigating her first mystery in a decade.
For those who are not aware, there are glimpses of Grosse Pointe Blank in the school reunion thread, and also shades of One For The Money in the detective’s-old-flame-in-trouble hook. But for those already know Veronica’s past three adventures, the films looks to be price worthy with the screen but still providing plenty of callbacks to what worked before.
The project is directed by Rob Thomas, initially the film was planned to hit a few screens, Veronica Mars will open expand its screens in the States on March 14, Unfortunately there was no talks about its release in the UK so far.
