Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell & Rob Kazinsky Take Up ‘Warcraft’ For Duncan Jones.
Duncan Jones finally has made an entry into the blockbuster world. He managed a huge amount with a rather slim budget for his debut, “Moon”. He stepped to a bigger territory with “Source Code” and has ever since been linked with huge projects like “Man of Steel”, “Catching Fire”, “The Wolverine” over the past few years. The video-gamer was ultimately lured to the world created by “Warcraft”, the adaptation by Legendary of the popular series of fantasy games.
Orcs , goblins and elves aren’t the most enticing prospect in the video game. Jones’ involvement is sufficient to keep us interested. He has justified our faith with sharp casting choices. Jones has also been added to the ‘Warcraft’ cast along with Ben Foster, Robert Kazinsky and Toby Kebbel, while Dominic Copper might get on board as well. The four of them would be joined by Travis Fimmel (Vikings) and Paula Patton in the mega-budget project.
Foster’s strong work in 2013 is evident with “Ain’t Them Bodies Sants” and “Lone Warrior” set to raise their standard next year. Kebbel also had blockbusters right from “Prince Of Persia”, “Wrath of Titans” and the going to be released, “Dawn of the planet of the apes”. Cooper’s major studio experience mainly comes from “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” and “Captain America”. The upcoming “Need for Speed” should take him to a different level. As of now, there is no sign of Collin Farrell.
It is unclear regarding the details of the roles of the actors, not that it would make any sense to us, at this stage. As far as the cast goes, it is indeed promising. With Foster getting a major role, he is bound to impress both the audience and critics alike. The filming for the project would start next year and is expected to release on March 11th, 2016.
