Defiance Hits 1 Million Registered Players

The game developer, Trion Worlds has announced that its multiplayer shooter game defiance has reached 1 million registered users, just within a month. The online game was launched on April 2nd for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. To get into the details of the data, just in the first month the gamers have killed a total of half-billion hellbugs, they have covered 50million miles on drive and have battled 1 million Arkfalls. The game is a science fiction that collaborated tansmedia effort from Trion and SyFy, the popular TV network.

The first episode of the same on the Television network counted 2.7 million viewers in which 1.3 million were adults in the age group of 18 to 49 years. This show was marked as the network’s most viewed scripted series for adults in the last seven years. The game for PC, PS3 and Xbox are set in a background of San Francisco Bay, and the time period is futuristic when earth has changed dramatically, and the aliens are terrifying everywhere. The TV series of the same is portrayed in the St. Louis background, which is aired on Mondays at 9 pm.

The news bear really some big meaning for Trion Worlds which they are planning to celebrate by a contest with the name Defiance Most Wanted, where the players have to outgun the competition. The company has also planned to showcase the winners in the upcoming episodes of the television show. The contest is planned to take place between 29th of April and 12th of May.

To get into the review by the critics, Defiance is not really a very high quality game as per the latest technologies used in recent gaming world. None of the elements in the game are done particularly well but the pieces somehow manage to come together to give a great gaming experience and lots of fun. There are a many bugs in the game that is sure to interfere with your experience. Defiance holds many elements similar to the traditional role-playing online games. It cannot be really marked as a class game but it has the spark that presses you to move forward.
