Facebook has released a recently made list of the highly successful releases to grace the social network’s gaming platform this year, charting some fascinating trends. According to a post by Facebook Developers, 2013 saw a rise in cross-platform games, and additional success for developers outside North America, and “hard-core” games on a big rise.
Facebook selected the games on its best of 2013 list in step with “user ratings, Facebook effectuation, growth, and overall quality”. Of the twenty three games it selected to honour, Criminal Case went on to become the Game of the Year. It is a game from French indie Pretty. It is a hidden object game with attractive sharing mechanics.
