The game Chivalry: Medieval Warfare was suddenly updated with so much of more content for which many many users might have been willing to pay.
However, Torn Banner says it’s not about the money.
Everyone finds something that works for their business – that’s fine. I just think for us it’s more important that people are happy than they are constantly paying for this subscription model.
– said Steve Piggot, the Torn Banner president.
We are still planning to do expansion packs that cost money, but we’ll always have free stuff for the community.
The update contains:
- 13 New maps
- 5 new weapons
- 3 new game modes
Such a massive is update in a game, and that too for free is no heard of in the industry.
We worked four months to do that thing, that would have made more money if we charged for it, but we are investing in the long term by investing in our fans.
