California To Host Call Of Duty Championship In March

The top Call of Duty groups in the world will be gathering in Los Angeles on March 28 to battle it out in this year’s Call of Duty Championship. The tournament, sponsored by Xbox, contains a $1 million prize pool and is focused around this year’s game, Call of Duty: Ghosts.

The top groups are chosen from qualifier rounds in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. The preliminary rounds begin this month – a full list is obtainable over on MLG – with a total of 32 groups being chosen to travel on to LA for the finals after the qualifiers.

The road to the finals will be broadcasting on both Xbox Live and MLG.tv, as will the finals themselves. Last year’s winner was Fariko Impact and the prize they walked away with was $400,000.
