Brendan Rodgers Sees A Strong Season Ahead For His Team

The Reds suffered an another defeat by Manchester City with another strike of destruction at Stamford Bridge on Sunday when they were beaten by Chelsea.

These two results have brought Liverpool from top of the table to fifth in just three days but manager Brendan Rodgers continues hope for his boys clinching the title.

He stated: “I think it’s an open game anything can happen, Christmas Day eating our turkey we were top of the league.

“A few days and games later we’re fifth. I think that’s the way it will go between now and the end of the season.

“Liverpool was never in the conversation list for the last few years. At least now we have managed a good hold of being recognised in terms of what we’re trying to do and our work.”

“I think the drops is a part of the game and, it’s brilliant and it makes it really exciting.

“With our performance in the first 19 games this season we have proved out hold on the season and if we could get players back, get some help in January with a few more players, we can turn the game upside down.

“Hopefully we can add to it and get some depth to the group, because that is something that really helps you in the second part of the season.”
