BlackBerry Fail In U.S.A.

BlackBerry saw a fall of nearly 8 percent in it’s shares on Friday after reports emerged of a flat response to it’s newly launched smartphone Z10 in the U.S. The device which has been well reviewed all over is very essential for BlackBerry if the smartphone maker needs to survive and re-establish itself in the U.S smartphone industry.

According to various media reports, the smartphone had a lackluster debut, with no long queues at stores, no signage announcing the launch and a very few pre-orders.

Analysts say that Z10’s performance in U.S could be a ‘make-or-break’ deal for BlackBerry. The smartphone market in U.S, which is ruled by iPhone and Android, is a tough one to break into and with the further launch of HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 with Android and iPhone 5S, the competition for BlackBerry is only going to get tougher. BlackBerry’s new operating system, BB10 will have to battle it out with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system to capture the number 3 spot for the mobile operating system in the market.
