Most of the Android devices from major companies do not have built in radios these days, and neither does the iPhone. But now, the BBC iPlayer Radio App has been launched for Android devices and Kindle Fire tablets, which will surely be appreciated by all the music lovers with radio-less Androids and Kindle Fires.
The iPlayer radio app doesn’t use Flash, and uses HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) instead, since it is not present on most up-to-date versions of the Google Mobile OS. It can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, and will be available on Amazon’s app store soon as well. The app design has been changed too, but the app requires devices to be running on Android 4.0 or later.
