Bale Is Sure To Debut For Real Madrid

Gareth Bale is expected to make his Real Madrid debut tonight at Villarreal and is set to play in the wide-right position for his new club. Bale’s position in the club had been highly speculated given that Christiano Ronaldo’s position in the club is the same.

However, Ronaldo has been used in a much more attacking role by Carlos Ancelotti. That has produced mixed results. The Portugal captain has only netted one goal in three games so far and the media has been quick to point out that Ronaldo is much better off playing the left wing spot, the position in which he thrived in, under Mourinho. The conflict of the position arises here. Either Bale has to adjust to a new position in Real Madrid or Ronaldo must perform a lot better in the attacking role provided by Ancelotti.

Bale has expressed his desire at playing at any position in Madrid. Ancelotti has given us a hint that he would start at right-wing. “Ronaldo and Bale are two world-class players. Their presence as a duo would be a deadly combination. Bale is a very humble player who likes to be a part of a group. Bale is very excited and is raring to play for Madrid. I can’t say whether Bale would start the match, but I can tell you that he would play today”, Ancelotti said.

Ancelotti also suggested that Tottenham would have made a lot more money if they had sold Bale to another unnamed team, but it was the players’ choice which made Bale to play for Real Madrid. The Italian coach also said that Ronaldo and Modric had overcome their fitness issues and this made them return early from international duty.

Ancelotti also appeared to suggest that Tottenham might have made even more money if they had been able to sell Bale to another unidentified team, but the player himself had only wanted to join Madrid.
