Back in 2012, Google had launched its Trekker imaging backpack to help reach remote and accessible areas by any form of Street View cameras. Now, its calling for applications to take the Street View Camera out to discover the various vistas.
The Google Street View Trekker is all controlled through an Android smartphone, and photos are taken every 2.5 seconds to form the 360-degree Street View panoramas.
But there are terms and conditions applicable to this as well. Firstly, you need to be absolutely physically fit to carry the 15-kg backpack all day with yourself. The second and the more important is that the applicant should be working for a non-profit, university or research organisation to be lent the pack.
And if you are lucky enough, you might get the chance to capture the beauty around, for Google.
