The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple has been testing versions of its iPhone and iPad with larger screens, in recent months. Its experimenting with iPad screens that measure around 13 inches, diagonally and iPhone screens larger than their usual 4-inch size.
Analysts opine that Apple is doing so, probably, to attract consumers besotted with Samsung’s 5-inch Galaxy S4 and 5.5-inch Galaxy Note 2.
Also, Reuters reported, in June, that Apple was considering the introduction of at least two bigger iPhones next year, one with a 4.7-inch screen and the other with a 5.7-inch screen. Even the Commercial Times reported last week, that the iPhone 5S was expected to hit the market in September or October but has been delayed till the end of the year to allow Apple to increase the screen size from 4 inches to 4.3 inches.
