$6.38 Billion – Microsoft’s Profit

Microsoft’s profit and the revenue of Microsoft this quarter has been huge. The lower sales of the Xbox 360 consoles led to downfall of 11% year-on-year in The Entertainment and Devices division. The Entertainment and Devices division has many units but mainly the Xbox and the LIVE revenues have opposed the low sales of the previous years.

Considering the fact that they overshipped the consoles last year with 8.2 million and have shipped 5.9 million consoles in the current run, it’s not that hard to believe. A $21.46 billion in revenue and a $6.28 billion of microsoft’s profit has been posted. Also, the Xbox 720, or the next-gen console will most probably be revealed this very year.
