1600 Free Points With GTA 5 Pre-Order

GTA 5 is perhaps the most eagerly awaited gaming release of 2013. Microsoft has planned to ride this wave of expectations about the game and is promising a free cache of Microsoft points to anyone who pre-orders the Xbox version of the game from Microsoft store website. The company is offering 1600 free points to the buyers for each purchase.

Grand Theft Auto 5 available in Xbox 360 is being termed as a next generation interactive game from Rockstar games. Since it’s first trailer in 2011, the expectations are high, and Rockstar delayed the release date from spring 2013 to December 31 2013. The reason offered for the delay was to improve the game designs to provide the gamers with the best possible experience. With a change of a large scale in the game environment, this game is being expected to be the one heralding a new era in gaming entertainment. It is being developed to provide a more personalised gaming experience for the players.

Xbox 360 has been Microsoft’s successor to Xbox and one of the most popular video game playing consoles used all over the world. First launched in 2005, Xbox 360 has been redesigned a number of times till date. Competing for market shares, mainly with Sony’s Playstaion and Nintendo’s Wii, Xbox 360 has retained a top slot through the past years. Now with GTA 5 pre-order, Microsoft expects to enhance it’s sales figures of Xbox 360. The free Microsoft points offer is unconditionally open to all customers “while supplies last”.

The Microsoft offer states that the buyers of the game will receive a redeemable code for their free points. The code will be provided to them via email within 10 days of shipment of the game and it will be valid till 31st December 2013. With these points, various games, features and other materials to use in Xbox 360 can be purchased from the Microsoft store. The purchases are non-refundable, and Microsoft has often been criticized for this points system. But the company obviously expects a large volume of GTA 5 pre-order through this offer and with the launch of GTA 5 drawing near, is expected to follow it’s marketing policies more effectively.
