With 150 M Users Instagram Promises To Have Ads Within a Year

Instagram Director of Business Operations Emily White, told The Wall Street Journal that Instagram is going to sell their adds within the next year as they have reached 150 million active users. Are users ready?

Its the first time recognition that any photo sharing network is going to feature its add. Instagram launched back in 2010 as not the first, but the best and most simple photo-sharing app.

Although, there is no date set for ads being rolled out,and its absolutely not clear how they’ll make their way into user feeds, too. White pointed out to the Journal that the challenge is to “figure out how to integrate marketing without jeopardizing Instagram’s cool factor.”

White recently made the list of every big brand account on Instagram, and then went to meet ’em—including Ford, Williams-Sonoma, and Coca-Cola in the last week alone. There is some hint from WSJ that ads may appear in app’s Discover page but I think it would be like making an opinion with knowing everything.
