China Mobile have got the privilege to make iPhone available in China after six years of negotiation, as China Mobile is the largest mobile carrier in the world with around 763 million subscribers.
According to Bloomberg, the CEO of Apple Tim Cook was on hand with the Chairman of China Mobile at the carrier’s Headquarters in Beijing. Some lucky customers got the Cook autographed iPhones, and he also praised the availability of iPhone in China through China Mobile.
Cook talked about “the next iPhone would launch with some bigger screen,” that the company do not like to talk about it’s future projects as it must be a secret to make the customers happy when they see it.
China Mobile said that they had around 1 million pre-orders in advance of launch but the estimates were too high. Some are claiming that the demands are low because of the China’s other two carrier China Telecom and China Unicom.
