When the Matrix hit the screens in 1999 it was a huge success and spawned a huge franchise with two sequels, video games and anime prequels. It is been learnt that Warner Bros. are planning another episode of the project.
According to the Latino Review, the Wachowskis have already started their work on treatments and outlines for a new trilogy of Matrix films. Warner Bros. wants these movies to be ready by 2017 so that they can push this project on the big screens with “The Avatar” and “Star Wars”. Unfortunately there were no other details about the project, but LR stated “one of the early outlines was about the birth of the Matrix.”
But lets us make it clear that nothing has been officially announced and these are rumors. But surely there is some strategy behind WB giving an opportunities to one of their most valuable franchises.
