LG Smartphone LCD – World’s First 2,560 x 1,440

Recently, people saw smartphones being launched in the market with Full HD LCD screens with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. With a pixel density of 440 ppi (Pixels Per Inch), people were amazed to see the crisp and crystal clear display of these devices.

However, the LG Display have achieved something extreme. One may eat his heart out, after knowing that LG has come up with world’s first Quad HD smartphone with a resolution of 2,560 x 1440 which is pumped with highest pixel density of 538 ppi.

LG Display, which is known for making high end slimmest and narrowest display panels has created a panel of 5.5 inches with only 1.21 mm thick in addition to 1.2mm at its bezel. LG has successfully stolen the crown from hardware it flaunted in the month of July this year.

The panel uses AH-IPS tech and Low Temperature Poly-Silicon (LTPS) substrate, with the screen featuring 430 units of brightness. The Quad HD technology is claimed to be four times, yes, four times the display carrying resolution of 1,280 x 720.

Although it’s not 4K on display but well, who won’t like the highest portable pixel density in hands?
