After all the desperate waiting, the iPhone 5 jailbreak is finally going to be released soon, since the iOS 6.1 has just been released. The Evad3rs, a team of highly efficient hackers, have been dropping some subtle hints on Twitter. They have found quite a few vulnerabilities in the iOS 6.1- enough to create a jailbreak tool, at least. One of the members, planetbeing, tweeted, “iOS 6.1 appears to be vulnerable to the exploits we are planning on using :)” and another member, MuscleNerd posted, “Hey, did everyone know the Super Bowl is this Sunday? What will you be doing? /cc @evad3rs evad3rs.com.”
The team consists of @pimskeks, @planetbeing, @pod2g, and @MuscleNerd. According to MuscleNerd, every other 6.1 device variation will be supported; all twenty-two of them. And the Apple TV 2 also, but only if it’s 6.1 firmware is released in time.
But the exact release date is still unconfirmed, and the jailbreak might be released sooner or later than Sunday.
