After a slew of good announcements at the Game Developers Conference this week, Google also came in with one. The search engine giant has proclaimed that developers will soon be ready to provide cross-platform play between iOS and Android devices.
The multiplayer support for iOS has been added to the Google Play game services tool, and updates to the Unity engine plug-in now allow developers to avail cross-platform play between iOS and Android devices.
These updates were proclaimed among other new options, including increasing to the number of game categories on the Play store to 18, and a service permitting users to gift their purchases to others.
