Well it appears like the rumors behind finding the best cast for the upcoming Fantastic Four are finally over, but Viggo Mortensen will not actually appear in that movie, as he instead decided to sign for an altogether different project titled Captain Fantastic.
The actor-turned-writer/director Matt Ross is said to be heading the project, which showcases a leading role that would suit to Mortensen’s ease in the wilderness. Captain Fantastic boasts an idealistic father who has to end a decade living off the chart with his six kids in the forests of America’s Pacific Northwest and bring the family back into society.
Ross appeared pretty happy over his leading role recruit:”Viggo Mortensen’s dedication to his craft and to the world of the story he’s telling have been an inspiration to me for years,” he told Deadline. “There is a depth to his art that I greatly admire. Any film he’s in is a film I want to see. He’s one of the greats. Getting to collaborate with him on Captain Fantastic is quite literally the best thing that’s happened to me since my wife asked me to marry her.”
The crew have already started there shooting this summer. Unfortunately there is nothing about the film’s appearance on the big screen.
