OnLive may not be the foremost undefeated cloud-based gaming platform, however with Sony’s recent reveal of the Gaikai-powered PlayStation now, the idea is simply gaining more traction. Just like OnLive’s push for integration with the tablets and TVs, Toshiba’s upcoming line of smart TVs will offer game streaming capabilities via cloud-based gaming service GameNow. Toshiba’s announcement states that the GameNow-compatible L3400U, L5400U, and L7400U smart TV models are “scheduled to be started shipping” in the first half of 2014.

A leading tabloid reported that the service will feature PC games published by Capcom like Devil may Cry 4 and Resident Evil 5 and also the Warner Bros. games like Batman: Arkham City.
