A Response By Facebook Data Scientist To Princeton Researchers

This week, some of the researchers at Princeton University proclaimed the impending doom of Facebook. They have made a conclusion by saying that 80% facebook peak users will vanish upto 2015-2017.

Facebook Data Scientist Mike Develin, however gave Princeton an answer with same fashion saying that “our research unequivocally demonstrated that Princeton may be in danger of disappearing entirely.”

Company gave this type of response, when they got hit that how the Princeton folks went about studying Facebook. And it was done using Google Trends, by analyzing how often people search for Facebook on Google.

So, Mike went on data analyzing how often Facebook and “Princeton” are searched on Google, and declared a very clever line-
“While we are concerned for Princeton University, we are even more concerned about the fate of the planet — Google Trends for ‘air’ have also been declining steadily, and our projections show that by the year 2060 there will be no air left.”

Mike finally said that his analysis on the actual data says that the company is still on the upswing, as it’s regardless of searching issue on Google.
