The team engaged on DayZ is ‘effectively doubling’ as creator Dean Hall is planningto leave the project by the end of 2014.
The news comes in via a new DayZ update that outlines the studio’s plans for the March 5 Update 0.37.”We are inducting a large variety of new individuals to the team, effectively doubling the full project,” Hall mentioned in the update.
Along with a number of bug fixes, he told that the team is about to start work on a new cooking system.
“This will be a part of a wider push in March to specialize in Survival aspects of the game in general,” Hall reported. “You will turn your cooking device on (fireplace/stove) and then place the things in it.”
The blog also guarantees that a roadmap outlining the studio’s plans for the remainder of 2014 will release shortly. Hall disclosed last week that he plans to leave Bohemia Interactive by the end of 2014 to come back to his native New Zealand.
